OPIC Obtain land property for the Construction of Permanent Office

The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator has obtained a land property to construct its permanent office building. The parcel of land attributed to the institution was  visited on Wednesday 07 December 2022 by the Committee of Land attribution led by the Divisional Officer of Buea,  comprised of the Public Independent Conciliator, the Deputy SDO of Fako, the Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Housing, Town Planning and Urban Development, the First Deputy Mayor to the Buea Municipal Council and the Divisional chief of State lands of the Ministry of State Property, Survey and Land Tenue and some OPIC staff.

The 5000 square meter land situated along the road leading to the Government Residential Area has the capacity of hosting a building of 30 offices, a 500 seater capacity conference hall and a parking space. The parcel of land which is near the road meet the necessity of making the office accessible to all category of users.

With this outstanding achievement, the leadership of the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator, has demonstrated the willingness of the State to give the institution all the requirements necessary  to achieve its missions and attain the goal of ensuring the effective delivery of quality services to users of Regional and Local Councils.
